This individual Plague configuration was made to a customer’s specification: a second cutting edge on the upper part of the blade, no handle scales, additional serrations and a dedicated Kydex sheath. The changes affect the blade, handle and sheath, so this is a configuration record rather than simply a new surface finish.
A handle without scales
With the handle scales omitted, the metal blank forms the exposed grip. The edges around the handle were rounded to reduce sharp contact points against the hand. The photographs record the resulting contours and the exposed cut-outs.
Removing scales changes the grip dimensions and the surfaces in contact with the hand. It should not be treated as equivalent to replacing one scale material with another. The supplied photographs show the configuration held in a glove; they are not a comparative comfort or grip test.
Changes to the blade
The customer requested a sharpened upper section, creating a second cutting edge. Serrations were also added to the lower cutting edge. These are functional changes to the blade geometry, not decorative details. The photographs document the finished result without demonstrating use or describing how to reproduce the modifications.
The sharpened upper section must be treated as a cutting edge, not as a surface for thumb pressure. The exposed blade and its two cutting edges require appropriate handling and covered storage.
The dedicated Kydex sheath
A separate Kydex sheath was made for this configuration. It includes a tension adjustment screw intended to increase retention by changing the sheath’s grip on the knife.
Retention and a positive mechanical lock are different things. A tension screw does not, by itself, establish that a sheath has a locking mechanism. No retention-force measurements or impact-test results are presented here.
What the images document
The image set records the blade profile, exposed handle and both sides of the sheath. The short video shows the finished configuration being turned for inspection, followed by a still photograph of the sheath. It does not show manufacturing steps, cutting performance or a retention test.
